Basement developments
Supply runs and returns added room by room, with the furnace rechecked against the new load before anything is cut.
Residential HVAC in Calgary from one in-house crew, sized to what the project actually adds rather than to what fits the joist space.

BBB A+ Accredited
WCB Alberta currentThe work splits four ways, each landing at a different stage of the build. TNT runs all four out of one shop in southeast Calgary.
Supply runs and returns added room by room, with the furnace rechecked against the new load before anything is cut.
Heating and ventilation kept independent of the main home, with ducting of its own and its own thermostat.
Heat runs rerouted and ductwork resized when the walls move, and equipment relocated properly rather than shuffled.
The real house measured, duct design laid into the structure, and every room checked at commissioning.
Usually yes. A legal secondary suite needs heating and ventilation that work independently of the main home. In most Calgary basements that means a second furnace, its own ducting and its own thermostat.
The suite cannot tee off the trunk duct feeding the house above. It needs its own heat source, ducting that serves only the suite, and a thermostat the tenant can reach.
Ventilation is the half that gets forgotten until the inspection. Where continuous ventilation is called for, that is an HRV, a heat recovery ventilator that keeps the heat in.
A suite adds a second shower, a kitchen and often a laundry to a tank sized for one household. That belongs with our hot water tank replacement Calgary work.
Converting a basement that holds a registered suite is a different conversation from a new application. We design to what your permit asks for, not to a general rule.
An open basement lives on what spills off the trunk. Once it is framed into rooms, each room needs its own branch and return.

A basement development, a suite and a new build are all permitted, inspected work. We apply for the mechanical permit rather than leaving it on your list.
The building permit for the space sits with you or your contractor. The mechanical permit for gas, venting and ductwork sits with us, priced into the quote.
An inspector has to see the duct runs, the venting, the gas piping and the combustion air while they are still visible. A fail after drywall means demolition.
A permit closed against your address, and a written scope saying what went in and where. Two year warranty on the labour stands behind the workmanship.
The same three steps for one basement bedroom or a whole infill. Nothing priced unseen, nothing left half finished behind the drywall.
Drawings if you have them, the mechanical room either way. We work out what the project adds in load and what the furnace and ductwork can carry, before anyone talks numbers.
An itemised quote in writing, and the City of Calgary mechanical permit taken care of as part of the job. Nothing is booked until you have said yes to a number you have seen.
Drop sheets go down along the route in and out, and we cut where the design says. The loudest part does not last all day, and the site is swept before we leave.
The quote is written on the visit, not posted to you three days later. If your system is down right now, skip the form and call. 24/7 emergency service, an owner answers or calls back.
A basement schedule belongs to the framers and the drywallers, not to us. What we can tell you is the three points in the build where we have to be there.
Bring us in while the layout is still on paper. Nothing is cut and nothing is booked, and the runs get designed around the rooms you actually want.
One visit before the drywall goes on. The branch runs, the returns, the gas piping and the venting all go in and stay visible for the inspection.
A second visit once the space is finished, to set and fire the equipment, measure the airflow room by room, and leave you the paperwork for it.
A basement development or a suite conversion is a four-figure decision landing in the middle of a project that is already costing money.
Promotions on new installations change through the year, so ask what is running when you book. Once approved, you sign off directly with the lender.
The discount comes off the price we quote you. There is no list price marked up first so the saving looks bigger than it is. Ask about it when you book.
Equipment, labour, and what is included, itemised before any work starts. If something turns up on the day, you decide before we carry on.
If our workmanship is at fault we come back and fix it, no argument. The equipment carries its own manufacturer warranty on top of that.
Subject to a third-party credit check. Approval and terms are set by the lender, not by us, and we will tell you what you qualify for before you commit.
A basement plan is the easy part. What separates one residential HVAC Calgary quote from the next is who is in the house and what they leave behind.
Since 2020
Started by family and close friends and still run by them. No head office, no franchise agreement, and no regional manager between you and the work.
No subcontractors, on any job
The technician in your mechanical room is a TNT employee, not a crew hired for the week. The standard is the same on the fifth job of the day as on the first.
24/7, answers or calls back
No heat at 2am in a Calgary February is an emergency, not a ticket. Ring at any hour and an owner answers or calls back, tells you what to check, and when someone can be there.
Before a tool leaves the van
An itemised quote covering equipment, labour and what is included. 15% off new installs, plus financing with promotions that change through the year.
Combustion tested every install
Gas pressure set, venting verified, static pressure read across the ductwork, and a combustion analysis run before we leave. Two year warranty on the labour.
Every review TNT has ever received is a five star review. These are Calgary homeowners whose residential HVAC work we did.
TNT installed the furnace system on our new build, and then we proceeded to get our AC with TNT as well. Jamie was super responsive, kind, and informative… In addition to being fairly priced.
Jamie and his team provide incredible expertise. They gave me consultative choices to improve my existing system, and clean installation done right… all at a fair price.
Great job and great price.
It was -30 kind of winter day… other companies asked for us to wait over 24 hours… Jamie came to service our non heating furnace within an hour and fixed the problem quickly.
Amazing service. I would not go with anyone else. Jamie tells you the truth, stands by his work and follows up.
Not only was TNT very reasonably priced, they fit me into their busy schedule during the heat spell and got me all set up in no time.
Jaime was professional and kept me informed throughout the entire process… His technician arrived on time, was knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions.
Would highly recommend. Check with TNT before making any decision regarding heating or AC install. Believe me. They were amazing.
Residential HVAC in Calgary is not only a heating conversation, and a development is the cheapest moment this house will ever offer to fix the rest of it.
Adding a coil during a basement development costs a fraction of retrofitting it two summers later. If the furnace is going anyway, price a heat pump installation Calgary at the same time.
Heat rises and one thermostat reads one room. A single-zone system serving three storeys is asked to satisfy three demands from one measurement.
Balancing the existing dampers costs nothing and is sometimes the whole answer. Adding returns where the air has no way back is the most common real fix.
Its own dampers and thermostats, or a variable-speed blower holding a low continuous circulation. For cooling on an existing house, AC installation Calgary is the page.
Square footage is the wrong unit to price this in. What it costs comes down to what the house already has, and these six things decide it.
A single open rec room is one branch. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and a wet bar is four, each needing a route the joists will actually take.
Supply is the easy half. Getting air back is what decides whether the job is straightforward or needs a new return path cut through framing.
Runs that fit inside the joist space disappear into the ceiling. Runs that do not need a bulkhead, which is a headroom decision as much as a mechanical one.
Sometimes the furnace you have carries the new load comfortably. Sometimes it does not, and a suite may want its own unit regardless of capacity.
Adding a bathroom or a suite often pushes demand past what the current tank manages. Upsizing, or splitting the supply, belongs in the plan rather than a surprise.
Applied for as part of the job and itemised on the quote rather than folded into a round number. A quote with no permit line is worth asking about.
Residential HVAC across Calgary and the towns around it, from inner-city infills to new builds on the edge of the city.
All four quadrants, and no part of the city is treated as out of the way.
